Route 66 was a great American highway running from Chicago to Los Angeles that stopped in food-loving towns like St. Louis and Tulsa along the way.

The menu at Route 66 Café takes up where the now-defunct road left off, supplying hearty sized portions. Unlike the truck-stop fare you find on the road, all the ingredients at Route 66 are fresh and wholesome. If spicy’s your thing, remember that Route 66 also went through Albuquerque and the kitchen loves to bring the taste of the Southwest to everyday fare like chicken and eggs. Best of all, you don’t need to climb in your ’57 Chevy to get there-- just navigate to Route 66’s online menu, fire up the road songs on the MP3 player, and enjoy. Like the song says, get your kicks at Route 66!

AVOID THEM! I placed an order for delivery through Seamlessweb and they got my order wrong TWICE! After over an hour I demanded a refund from the manager. The waitress that handles take-out and delivery kept trying to blame it on the kitchen, but why aren't you checking orders before they leave? TERRIBLE service. Food is definitely NOT worth the headache! Avoid, avoid, avoid!

This restaurant is fairly good. I've been in person as well as ordered delivery but I prefer delivery since their customer service is horrible, at least the time I had gone. The wait staff talks about personal issues and work issues in ear shot of customers, a HUGE no-no. The food is fresh and the delivery comes in a timely manor. The menu in the restaurant is different than the seamless menu but I've still found items I enjoy in place of the Chicken Cesar Wrap I fell in love with. Hopefully they step it up, this is NYC.... there are plenty of places with the menu they have that do better.

I never got my food, because the delivery person went to the wrong address and despite many many attempts to tell him he was not downstairs on the front door video camera, he never moved or tried to find the right house! The actually CLOSED while he stood there, so I never got my food or service.

Food is good, delivery is good, and prices are reasonable. The southwest steak burger kicks ass, the steak is a nice size, and the pastas are very good. The shakes are the best in the area.

The food was at average or below if it wasn't breakfast food. I can eat it, but I don't think I will do so in the future. I ordered a steak sandwich medium grill, I got a well(over)done steak sandwich. The fries were like sticks of grease and sat heavily. The condiment bag was gross because of a sticky substance covering everything inside it and an unwelcome visitor. We trashed that bag. I gave two stars because the veggies were fresh and delicious and because the breakfast food my co-worker ordered at the same time was good.

They sent me the wrong order and by the time my food got here it was cold and soggy

Everything was cold and soggy and the iced tea was labeled incorrectly on the menu so I got something I didn't want.

Food was horrible. I wrote my special requests in the box. It came out in bold letters, I called and told them my special requests and they did not hear me or read my note. I ordered an omelet which they put what they wanted in it and not what i requested.

Prompt delivery, courteous delivery person, and great food! Some of my sweet potato fries were a little undercooked, but the delicious creme brulee completely made up for them! I will be ordering from here again very soon.

Usually Route 66 is good, but on a particularly rainy night, the food arrived past the time range specified and my "medium" burger was VERY well done and quite rubbery. Disappointing.

I lived in Hells Kitchen for a few years and have tried most all of the local restaurants. Route 66 is bar none the worst food experience I've had in NYC. I had a tuna club sandwich with fries and it was abysmal. My girlfriend had a burger and it was equally bad. Do yourself and never order here. A huge step below any NYC diner.

Delivery time is not always accurate. At times the restaurant has charged for items not delivered and customer had to argue for a refund.

maybe i shouldn't have ordered breakfast at 10pm on a friday, but it was awful. mexican breakfast wrap was incredibly greasy, very sloppy and unedible. forgot the onions and gave me a terrible tomato with the bagel and lox. it did arrive quick, maybe because i'm the only sucker who eats there.

Within minutes of placing my order they called to clarify allergies which was great. Delivery was quick and food was not squished to one side or ruined in anyway. Even a slice of cake came standing up with garnish placed in container. Fantastic.

This used to be a great "go to" restaurant when I just didn't know what I wanted. The portions are nice sized and the food is pretty good. That said, I don't know if they've changed management or are working with fewer staff, but I am consistently receiving orders that are not complete as ordered, or taste like they've been sitting around waiting for a delivery person to become available. I think I'll give it one more try, but if my next order isn't as ordered I will no longer visit this establishment.

The poached salmon was awful The onion soup was missing the crouton and cheese

The restaurant tried to charge me $7 more than Seamless web did. They charged $4 more for one item than the price was listed online. They also did not honor the 20% discount advertised on the site. FINALLY they didn't even send a confirmation email. I had to call to make sure they received the order. i will never order from this restaurant again. The food was "ok" but not worth the hassle. Bread was soggy, and chicken was bland.

Our order arrived cold and soggy. :( the coleslaw and pickels spilled in the bag & unfortunately were packed with a milkshake - yuck.

I ordered a "Jumbo" plan bagel with cream cheese and lox. I received a squished cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese. I also ordered oatmeal (which was pretty good) with honey, brown sugar and milk. I only received oatmeal. I called and they said they'd send replacements right over. The delivery guy brought a tiny squished cinnamon raisin bagel with lox (45 minutes later) and raw sugar instead of brown sugar. It's one thing to be busy and make a mistake, but twice in one night is unreasonable. Besides, $10 for what they were offering as far as "Jumbo" bagel with lox was beyond unreasonable. They gave me a refund after I requested one.
